The inspiration behind the Oud Immortel and Accord Oud duo comes from the oud tree, a wood that holds immense cultural significance due to its use in traditional perfumes and incense. This tree, mentioned in one of the world’s oldest written texts, The Veda, has a light heartwood that, when infected with a specific mold, produces a dark, strongly scented resin to protect itself. Known as oud or agarwood, this natural ingredient offers a complex and unmistakable fragrance.
